Congressman Rice Praises Court’s Ruling Against Costly EPA Regulation

-

WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 30, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Tom Rice (SC-07) today released the following statement praising the United States Supreme Court’s ruling against the Environmental Protection Agency’s costly power plant regulations:

“Too often, unelected bureaucrats make decisions that directly impact American jobs and the American people without considering economic repercussions. Today, our nation’s highest Court said enough is enough. The EPA negligently failed to consider the cost and economic impacts of their regulations, putting the Administration’s war on coal energy agenda over the livelihood of Americans.

“When the EPA rolled out power plant emissions regulations, South Carolinians were directly impacted. In my district, power plants were forced to purchase costly equipment and raise prices or shut down. This ruling is welcomed news for our state, and I will continue to work with my colleagues to protect Americans from overzealous bureaucrats and costly political agendas.”
